4th-year cadets of the faculty of training specialist for pre-trial investigation units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, who are the authors of the “FRIENDS” project within the UPSHIFT program, conducted the first interactive English language class for first-year students.
Higher education seekers mastered the grounds and procedure for conducting such an investigative action, such as a search, as well as gained new knowledge on measures to ensure criminal proceedings, which is the basis of future investigators’ work.
The practical session took place in the specialized educational facility “Innovative space of an investigator”. Boys and girls found substances and objects, the circulation of which is prohibited by law and which are important for criminal proceedings. While doing the exercises they used English professional vocabulary.
The UPSHIFT is a global innovation program of the UNICEF, which is implemented in more than 40 countries of the world. The aim of the project is educating the generation of socially responsible young people and forming future agents of changes.
