On the occasion of Youth Day, a regional youth event “Youth of Kirovohrad Region: Free to Dream 2.0” was held in Kropyvnytskyi. The event brought together over 300 active young boys and girls from different parts of the Kirovohrad region, including representatives of the student and cadet self-government of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matvii Bidnyi, delivered a congratulatory video address to the participants of the joint action, admitting the leadership of the Kirovohrad region in the development of youth policy. The participants were also addressed by head of the Kirovohrad regional military administration, Andrii Raikovych, and head of the Kirovohrad regional council, Yurii Drozd.
The DonSUIA representtives took an active part in discussion panels, workshops, interactive sessions, and thematic discussions, shared their own ideas, and adopted best practices.
Iryna Tkachenko’s, director of the sustainable development agency “Khmarochos”, presentation “Catalog of actions. Youth of the Kirovohrad region – in the focus of change, renewal, and unity”, which collected the best examples of working with youth in the communities of the region, attracted particular attention of the participants.
For the DonSUIA, higher education students the event became not only a source of new knowledge, but also a platform for expanding partnerships, strengthening teamwork, and developing projects that they implement at the University.
