In the post-war society, the issue of supporting veterans and their families is gaining special importance. That is why specialists from the department of Social Humanitarian Work and Monitoring of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held the next stage of the information campaign in Kropyvnytskyi.
During the event, the University’s information booklets were handed over to representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs of the Kirovograd Regional Military Administration, public organizations “Center for Medical and Psychological Rehabilitation “COMPASS””, ” State Defense “, “Hearts of Mothers and War Veterans of Kropyvnytskyi”, +Center “Veteran”, as well as a charitable organization “Charity Foundation “Regiment of Sviatoslav the Brave””.
The booklets contain up-to-date information with a QR code that allows veterans to quickly access important opportunities: employment in administrative and educational positions; sports activities under the guidance of the University specialists; psychological assistance in a special psychological relief room; legal support in document processing and legal issues; participation in patriotic and educational activities.
Yuliia Herasymova, deputy head of the department of Social Humanitarian Work and Monitoring of the DonSUIA, emphasized: “Each veteran and his family have individual needs that require understanding and support. Veterans should feel respected and have access to new opportunities – it is important for their rehabilitation and motivation. The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs is open and ready to support everyone.”
The DonSUIA information activities not only demonstrate social responsibility of the educational institution, but also open up new horizons for veterans in their adaptation to peaceful life.
