Due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP dam and shallowing of the reservoir, the towns of Pokrov and Marganets, as well as five rural communities, are left without centralized water supply. People have been living without drinking water for two weeks.
The DonSUIA joined the implementation of the “Friendly Support” project, which was initiated by the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The University, together with the Deputies of the Kropyvnytskyi District Council, with the support of the “Save Ukrainians” Charitable Fund, organized and held a campaign to raise money for humanitarian aid to the victims.
Owing to non-indifference and compassion of the staffers and higher education seekers of the University, about 50 thousand hr. were promptly raised at all its three locations and 6 tons of drinking water, things, basic necessities and ready-to-eat products were delivered to the village of Novosofiivka, Dnipropetrovsk region.
The DonSUIA team is planning to continue providing assistance to the victims and is already preparing for the next trip
Only by rallying together we can overcome any difficulties! Together to victory!
