A two-day information forum dedicated to the possibilities of supporting science and innovation was held in Kropyvnytskyi. At the event the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was represented by: dean of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units, Doctor of Law, associate professor Olha Kovaliova, lecturer of the department of criminal law and criminology Iryna Fedorchak, lecturer of the department of administrative and legal disciplines Olena Shyshkariova and Candidate of Law, associate professor of the department of state and legal disciplines and public administration Olena Odyntsova.
The event, organized by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine together with the “Horizon Europe” Office in Ukraine, brought together about 150 participants, including scientists, representatives of government, business, and public organizations.
The forum was opened by executive director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, Olga Polotska, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between all links of a scientific ecosystem. Deputy head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Serhii Sheremet, also delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing significant importance of such events for Ukrainian scientists working in conditions of a full-scale war.
The participants were introduced to the main areas of activity and strategies of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine regarding open science and the opportunities provided by support and innovation programs for Ukrainian scientists.
For the DonSUIA, participation in this event became an important step towards strengthening interaction between science, government, and civil society, which is especially relevant in the context of post-war reconstruction and reforming of Ukraine.
