Representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service conducted classes for male and female cadets before practical training and internship in territorial units of police. The acquired knowledge and skills are necessary for service during the war in Ukraine.
Within the frame of the course, the students mastered the peculiarities of radiation, chemical, biological protection and military topography, acquired special engineering, tactical, fire and psychological training skills, improved the skills of providing the first aid, and also learned about the basics of the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles,” – , said the vice-rector of the university, Olena Volobuieva characterizing the course of primary military professional training.
This course was aimed at providing cadets, students and the staff of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the necessary knowledge and skills in general military training, as well as increasing their readiness for independent performance of duties during the service.
Male and female students of the university learned and improved their skills in overcoming obstacle courses, accelerated motion, hand-to-hand combat, navigation in the area without a map, firing from machine guns in terms of a shooting course.
During the classes they considered the information of weapons of mass destruction and the consequences of destruction of radiologically and chemically dangerous objects, personal protective equipment and the procedure for using it.
The cadets learned to provide the first aid in the sectors of shelling, shelter and evacuate the wounded. They studied psychological features of human behavior in extreme conditions. Besides , the training participants performed tasks on group interaction and effective communication.
“We understand the responsibility entrusted to us, we value the acquired knowledge and skills that will help us in our service during the war and after it. As a young generation of police officers, we must be ready for today’s challenges. It is good that during the time of studying at the university we get this experience, – said Olesya Gryshanova, the cadet of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activity units of the DonSUIA, who is currently undergoing an internship in one of the territorial units of police in the Donetsk region.
The classes were held on behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in accordance with the Model Program of Primary Military Professional Training for Education Seekers and Staff of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Private and Senior Staff of the Civil Security Service and Police.
