This event at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs brought together leading specialists, scientists and practitioners in the field of public and private law from different parts of Ukraine.
On behalf of the DonSUIA rector, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, the conference participants were welcomed by dean of the faculty of law, management and economic security, doctor of legal sciences, associate professor Volodymyr Buha. He noted that the war in Ukraine actualized the issue of enforcement of Ukrainian Constitution and legal regulation in the country under martial law. The solution of these problems is connected with the urgent need to ensure the life of the state, security and protection of its citizens’ lives, their rights and freedoms.
Welcome speeches were made by: head of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner on Human Rights Ivan Verveiko; vice-rector of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, doctor of legal sciences, professor, honored lawyer of Ukraine, police colonel Oleksandr Muzychuk; Andrii Hrymaliuk, head of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Kirovohrad region; director of the Kropyvnytskyi branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Kostiantyn Lahoda; Andrii Lavrus, deputy director of the administrative services department in Kropyvnytskyi.
The organizing committee of the conference received 160 theses from the scientific community, representatives of state and local self-government authorities, representatives of the court, the National Police and the State Labor Service of Ukraine, adjuncts, post graduate students and higher education seekers of the leading educational institutions.
The conference became a platform for discussing ways to modernize the legal system and prepare new legislative initiatives. Based on the results of the event, a resolution will be formed, which will include scientific conclusions and proposals for legal regulation in modern conditions.
The DonSUIA thanks the participants of the conference for professional discussions that will contribute to the development of domestic science.
