An adviser on criminal investigations of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine, Desiree Hufnagel, conducted an online class in English “Role and Functions of Investigatory Laboratory” for higher education seekers majoring in 081 “Law”.
The cadets learned more about: the international experience of processing and analyzing evidence at the crime scene and in the laboratory; protection of materials from the influence of different factors; classifying evidence into biological (blood, hair, DNA, nails) and non-biological samples (fingerprints, gunpowder, bullets). The participants of the meeting exchanged their experience of examining the crime scene and collecting evidence.
The police officers admitted that cooperation between the European Union Advisory Mission and the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs contributes to high-quality educational and practical implementation of the leading international experience of the procedure for processing and analyzing evidence in Ukraine, as well as improving foreign language communicative competence of lawyers and law enforcement officers.
The event took place in the language room equipped with the financial support of the European Union within the framework of the project “Support of the relocated Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs”.
