A ceremonial presentation of certificates to the participants of free Ukrainian language courses for lawyers “Improve your Ukrainian!” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Vice-rector Ruslan Vradiy welcomed the participants on behalf of the DonSUIA rector Serhii Vitvitskyi. He thanked the listeners for their active participation in the courses, emphasized the importance of improving professional Ukrainian for lawyers and wished them success in their professional activities.
Within a month law specialists improved their knowledge of spellin, lexical, grammatical and punctuation norms of the modern Ukrainian language. They also improved their practical skills in creating and editing official letters of various types, texts, contracts; practiced adapting information for non-specialists. Special attention was paid to the issues of language and speech etiquette.
The training material was presented in the context of typical professional situations: communication in person and by phone, interaction with colleagues and partners, work with difficult clients.
The course teacher, associate professor of the department of social and humanitarian disciplines, Oksana Chornous, noted that such trainings is an effective opportunity to improve the level of professional language culture of practicing lawyers.
