A scientific and pedagogical staff of the department of tactical and special training, together with higher education seekers of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activities units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, held a workshop for children from the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
At special locations “Fundamentals of sniping” and “Fundamentals of UAV control”, the boys learned about the specifics of a sniper’s work, setting up an optical sight, the concept of ballistics, the basics of accurate shooting, the basics of preparing to launch and control an unmanned aerial vehicle, etc.
Those who wished tried their hand at shooting using an air rifle with an optical sight and taking the drone into the air.
Besides the DonSUIA teachers and cadets, the coordinators of the event were head of the public organization “The United Family of Kropyvnytskyi” Olena Stepanok, a tactical and fire training instructor of the NGO “Ukrainian Association of Combatants and Volunteers of ATO in Kirovohrad region” Dmytro Rybachek.
The event finished with treating children to real Cossack kulish soup and hot tea.
