Representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) conducted a training in English for higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Heorhina Mahnussen, Advisor/Trainer for Police-Community Interaction (Denmark), Desery Hufnahel, Advisor/Trainer for Criminal Investigations (Austria), Andrii Markov, Advisor for Prosecution Reform (Ukraine), Yevheniia Korotka, Strategic Communications Officer (Ukraine) delivered a lecture “Crime Scene Activity and Death Investigation” for cadets of the faculty of training specialist for the units of pre-trial investigation.
The speakers shared their foreign experience on the specifics of pre-trial investigation of murders in some countries of the European Union, the procedure for collecting evidence in criminal proceedings of this category and emphasized the importance of their use in proving the guilt in the course of pre-trial investigation.
The higher education seekers also took part in trainings, during which EUAM experts organized an interactive survey on the categorical apparatus of police science (through QR-CODE and the use of phones) and raised the problem of international cooperation between police officers.
During an active dialogue, young human rights defenders using English revealed their own vision of the theme.
The participants of the meeting admitted that efficient cooperation of the EUAM and the DonSUIA contributes to the qualitative implementation in Ukraine of the leading international and foreign experience in the procedure for investigating criminal offenses; expands and upgrades the knowledge of the higher education seekers regarding education and international cooperation of police officers; improves foreign language communication skills of future lawyers and law enforcement officers.
