Higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, together with practicing lawyers and the University lecturers, provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, war veterans and their family members.
During 2024, more than 200 people turned to the representatives of the DonSUIA legal clinic “Legal Defense” for consultations. Among the issues raised: changes in mobilization legislation, implementation of the rights of servicemen and members of their families, as well as specific issues of civil, labor and administrative legislation.
If necessary clinician students, help in drafting legal documents, claims, lawsuits. This allows young specialists to consolidate theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience.
The DonSUIA JC “Legal Protection” supports the state veterans’ policy, which is defined as one of the main areas of the Government’s Plan of Priority Actions for 2024. Within the frame of the Plan, clinician students provide legal consultations at the “Ya-Veteran” office in the “Visa” Administrative Services Center.
Free consultations for the community, internally displaced persons, war veterans and their family members are carried out within the framework of the project “Support of the relocated Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs” with the financial assistance of the European Union.
