Trainings dedicated to “Police tactics according to the Scandinavian model of law enforcement” were held within the scope of optional classes for those studying at the faculty of training specialists for preventive activity units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Its trainers were: Oleksandr Karpenko, a commander of the special purpose police unit of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region, and experienced staffers of the unit.
During the trainings, the cadets practiced: specific elements of working with a shield, how to hold it correctly and ensure personal safety; procedure and legal grounds for the use of special means; lining up the unit to ensure public safety and order during mass events; commands and the order of their subsequence to counter an aggressive crowd, etc.
The speakers noted that the acquired knowledge and skills will contribute to training highly qualified personnel for the law enforcement system of the state.
