A professional historian, officer, sergeant major of the 12th special brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine with the call sign “Docent” held a lecture for higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs on the context of “Prayer of a Ukrainian Nationalist”.
On May 20, 2022, the “Azovstal” defender was captured and became a prisoner of the “Olenivskyi concentration camp”, where he spent four months. He returned to Ukraine as part of the exchange of prisoners of war. After the rehabilitation course, he continued his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Docent” told the cadets about a deep, hidden and open meaning of the words and sentences of the prayer. He also noted that it is mandatory to be studied by the “Azov” personnel and is the basis of the unit’s ceremonial.
