Implementation of the ideas and practices of Open Science in Ukraine in order to improve the quality of educational services is the main aim of the OPTIMA project (“Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Academia”). Among OPTIMA’s priorities are work with relocated Ukrainian universities, focus on climate change issues and inclusiveness, due to the use of modern information technologies.
The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, based on the results of the selection of scientific conferences of Ukrainian displaced higher education institutions, became the only one among departmental Universities to be involved in the OPTIMA project. The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ensuring Road Traffic Safety: Global and Local Solutions” (November 17, 2023) passed the selection. Under the terms of this project, the selected conference organizing committees will receive assistance in creating a modern website for the event with an application and review system, organizational and technical support, international support and online advertising.
OPTIMA is a three-year project that will last until January 14, 2024. It is financed by the EU within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The coordinator is the Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the consortium includes the Universities and other organizations from Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Poland and Ukraine.
Today, open science is an international process whose goal is to make scientific research, scientific data and their dissemination accessible to all interested sectors of society.
