The delegation of DonSUIA headed by the rector Serhii Vitvitskyi took part in general graduation of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Kyiv.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyyi addressed this year’s 2,607 graduates of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 414 graduates of higher education institutions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine:
“It is an extraordinary responsibility to always be a rescuer of people, always to be a helper, always to serve public trust and never fail. If you make a mistake, for people it will mean that the state has made a mistake, because the state is seen in those who serve it.
I thank you for the courage to choose such a professional path! I sincerely wish each and every one of you strength that would be equivalent to the strength of our entire Ukraine. And I wish you dignity, so that the Ukrainians could be proud of you and rely upon you.”
The President recognized the best representatives of departmental institutions of higher education, including the DonSUIA. Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the Dean of the Faculty of Training Specialist for Preventive Activities Mykola Tyshlek with the Order of Danylo Halytskyi for his significant personal contribution to the development of the country, conscientious and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people. And Oleksandr Harmash, a graduate of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, was awarded the “Defender of the Motherland” medal.
Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the administrative and scientific-pedagogical staff of the University, representatives of local self-government bodies, representatives the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard, cadets, parents, as well as friends and partners of the higher educational institution came to the graduation ceremony in Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih and Ivano-Frankivsk.
294 boys and girls received diplomas of higher education in the specialty “Law” and “Law enforcement”, 13 of them – with honors. The graduates were awarded the rank of “police lieutenant”, and excellent students – the rank of “senior police lieutenant”. Tomorrow, all of them will join the ranks of practical units of Ukrainian police.
The graduates were congratulated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, police general of the third rank Oleksiy Serhieiev: “I thank you for your choice. It is very important and honorable at this time. Be worthy of your Motherland, the memory of its defenders, who sacrificed their lives protecting our state, serve honestly and with honor!”
Those present honored the memory of all those who died during the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine with a minute of silence. For significant achievements in education, scientific and sports activities senior police lieutenants Kateryna Tretiak and Yevgenia Obodets were awarded a scholarship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine named after Denys Monastyrskyi. In addition, the best graduates were awarded a letter of thanks from the rector, regional and city military administrations.
After that, the graduates had a farewell ceremony with the Banner of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
