As part of an All-Ukrainian national-patriotic activity “Civil Defense” seminars for cadets on tactical and special training, mine-sapping, tactical medicine and CQB (“Close Quarters Battle”) were held in the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The purpose of the event is to provide psychological support for the educational process in a higher education institution and adaptation of cadets to the conditions of educational and further service activities, to promote their personal growth and professional development as future highly qualified specialists capable of efficient solving the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them.
The organizers were: a public organization “Alpha Self Defense” ASD, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kyiv Youth Center “KYC” and the unit of psychological support of the DonSUIA personnel support department.
Experienced instructors provided young people with basic knowledge of military studies and rescuing the wounded in the following areas: tactical and special training, tactical medicine, mine-sapping, the basics of UAVs, psychological first aid in war conditions.
In groups the participants acquired practical skills: tactical and special training (work with weapons, in groups, techniques of mastering weapon, combat movements); clearing buildings from enemies (entrance to premises, working out sharp corners, choosing positions for shelter, two-sided battles); tactical medicine relocation and evacuation of the wounded, their medical sorting, stop of bleeding); mountain-assault training (tactical nodes, the purpose of mountaineering equipment).
Classes on psychological first aid “Stress and the forms of its overcoming in conditions of martial law” were held in the psychological relief room of the DonSUIA.
At the end of the training, all participants received certificates.
