Representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) paid a working visit to the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Heads of the International Crimes Investigation Department Michal Vyvoda and the Department of Legal Affairs on International Crimes Enhus Kelly, Senior Adviser on International Crimes Investigation Vincent Hognei, Administrative Officer of the International Investigation Department Inna Sofienko brought and handed over computer equipment for setting up a specialized training facility “Courtroom.”
The room will become an innovative platform for conducting training sessions and will allow higher education seekers to model the judicial process. This will contribute to their in-depth understanding with judicial practice and will provide an opportunity to improve the skills of processing criminal procedural documents required within the framework of judicial proceedings.
During the meeting, the participants determined the date of the “Courtroom” opening, discussed the theme of trainings for higher education seekers and the scientific and pedagogical staff of the DonSUIA.
Rector of the University Serhii Vitvitskyi noted the importance of developing systematic and sustainable cooperation with the international organization, thanked for the implementation of joint initiatives in the cities of Mariupol and Kropyvnytskyi.
First Vice-Rector of the University Yehor Nazymko and Vice-Rector Olena Volobuieva told the guests about the project activities of the University, the functioning of specialized classrooms, centers, specialized objects – “Center of International Humanitarian Law,” the training center “Education of Integrity,” and also outlined the main areas and themes of further joint work in accordance with the challenges of today.
Cooperation of the DonSUIA and the EUAM is important for improving the quality of teaching, professional training of cadets and students, which will positively affect the legal system of Ukraine.
