Formation of practical skills for working as part of an investigatory-operative group, mastering the main forensic tools, techniques and methods of collecting and examining evidence during the investigation of crimes related to armed aggression against Ukraine – cadets of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units of the DonSUIA worked out simulated “places of artillery shelling” and damaged objects of civil infrastructure.
The location “Place of artillery shelling (damage to buildings)” is located in an open area with the simulation of the consequences of artillery shelling, as a result of which civil infrastructure objects were damaged. It simulates the inspected place of occurrence of a crime committed in the context of armed aggression against Ukraine.
During the training at this location, the future investigators considered the issues of identifying such places, conducting an inspection of the spot, interacting with the explosives service, and ensuring the personal safety of the police officer. The organizational, procedural, and tactical features of the actions of investigative and operational groups of the National Police for documenting crimes related to armed aggression against Ukraine were determined.
” Place of artillery shelling (Fire)” simulates the effects of a fire after an artillery shell hits an area with half-destructed buildings. The location is designed to improve practical skills in documenting the consequences of crimes committed in the context of armed aggression against Ukraine.
The cadets inspected and recorded damage to civil infrastructure facilities and other damaged or destroyed property. Issues related to the use of scientific and technical means and methods of detecting and removing traces of crimes related to armed aggression against Ukraine, communication and interaction with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Service for Emergency Situations during the documentation of these crimes were worked out.
