Organization and procedure for conducting medical examinations of drivers (driver candidates) of vehicles” was published within the framework of the agreement on cooperation between the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and the state enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine of Ukrainian Ministry of Health. “The rector of the university Serhii Vitvitskyi is among the authors of the publication.
The manual presents various aspects of activities of the medical staff who conduct examinations of drivers (driver candidates) of vehicles. The publication contains the most comprehensive selection of legal acts on the medical provision of road traffic security, including laws of Ukraine, government resolutions, decrees of the President of Ukraine, orders and instructions of ministries and agencies. The authors paid attention to examination methods for detecting alcohol and drug intoxication of drivers.
DonSUIA is a specialized institution of higher education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which carries out scientific research in the field of road traffic security. Its partners in this field are institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in particular.
