An application for a modern software package for the qualification and investigation of criminal offenses was presented by the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. It was developed by the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology in collaboration with the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics.
The purpose of the event is to introduce innovative technologies in the field of law enforcement and the implementation of modern teaching methods in the educational process.
The presentation was attended by academic and teaching staff from the Department of Criminal Law, higher education seekers from the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, and representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.
Andrii Udod, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, and Oleksandr Hruzd, Acting Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, demonstrated the functional capabilities of the system: interactive modules for classifying different categories of criminal offenses; templates for procedural documents; an interactive diagram of traffic accidents; an artificial intelligence qualification module that helps to correctly determine the composition of a crime and select the appropriate article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the presentation, cadets learned about the principles of working with automated systems for classifying criminal offenses; the use of artificial intelligence to analyze judicial practice; working with electronic templates for procedural documents; and the use of interactive diagrams to record the circumstances of traffic accidents.
