Aspects of gender stereotypes and obstacles on the path of women in science; the choice between personal and professional; masculinization and the challenges faced by scientists in wartime were discussed by the participants of the regional scientific discussion platform “Women in science in wartime”.
The organizing committee received applications for participation from representatives of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Donetsk National Medical University, the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University, the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, the Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University, the Central Ukrainian State University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko, the Donbass State Pedagogical University, the Central Ukrainian Institute PJSC “HEI “IAPM”, the PI “Kirovohrad Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi”, the Central Ukrainian State House of Artistic and Technical Creativity.
Based on the results of the work, those present adopted the resolution on the need to focus on the problem of gender imbalance, as well as to emphasize the need to ensure gender equality, expand the rights and opportunities of women and girls, and their full and equal access to the achievements and development of science, technology and innovation.
The organizer of the event was the department of social and humanitarian disciplines of the DonSUIA.
