Oleksiy Oderii, professor of the department of criminal procedure and forensics of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, held a seminar for investigators and inquirers of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad Region.
The meeting was held at the invitation of the Advisory Mission of the European Union regional office on reforming civil security sector in Ukraine (Odesa) as part of the training “Tactics and work organization at the scene of a crime”.
The following participated in the active discussion: investigators of the unit of investigating crimes committed in conditions of armed conflict of the investigative department of the MONP in the Donetsk region — head of the department, police lieutenant colonel Natalia Kozintseva; lawyer Olha Hetmanenko, who headed one of the investigative units of the Donetsk region police, adviser on reforming the prosecutor’s office (Ukraine) Andrii Markov, and adviser-trainer on criminal investigations Dezeri Hufnagel (Austria).
Those present discussed problematic issues, in particular mistakes occurring in practice.
The training participants noted that the acquired knowledge will certainly be useful to practitioners, and the issues raised will be studied by scientists.
