Today in Kropyvnytskyi, representatives of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs took part in events on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the Battle of Kruty.
The representatives of the Kirovohrad RMA, regional and Kropyvnytskyi city councils, law enforcement and military bodies laid flowers at the memorial plaque to our compatriots – brothers Volodymyr and Oleksandr Shulhin. On behalf of the rector of the DoSUIA Serhii Vitvitskyi the vice-rector of the University Ruslan Vradii joined the event.
“The fate of the state has always depended on non-indifferent active citizens, first of all, on the youth. It is the youth who has always been at the forefront of social and political changes in the state. It is the youth who has had a decisive word in many state-building processes. It was the youth who stood in the way of the Bolshevik horde in 1918. Eternal glory was gained by the young defenders of Ukraine near Kruty,” noted the moderator of the event, candidate of historical sciences, local historian and a volunteer Yurii Mytrofanenko.
Bishop Mark, the head of the Kropyvnytskyi eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, served a memorial service for the fallen fighters for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
To mark the event, the cadets of the DonSUIA unfolded blue and yellow flags and honored the Heroes of Ukraine.
