As part of implementing the UPSHIFT project, the FRIENDS team of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held classes in English for higher education seekers dedicated to current problems of modern society.
The participants discussed the problem of bullying and its consequences. Due to the open dialogue, human rights defenders learned about various forms of cyberbullying and how to resist this negative phenomenon.
The cadets were offered to conduct an “interrogation”, during which they practiced the following skills: communication with a minor witness; collection of evidence; analysis of received information.
By completing the task, they understood better how important it is to create a safe environment for interrogation in order to obtain truthful testimony.
The UPSHIFT innovative youth program in the Kirovohrad region is being implemented by the NGO “Zadzerkallia Slavic Cultural Center” in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF Ukraine).
The educational process is taking place in specialized facilities equipped with the financial assistance of the European Union within the framework of the project “Support of the relocated Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs”.
