With the support of the international program ICITAP and the department of preventive activities of the National Police of Ukraine the appointed, officers of the National Police of Ukraine underwent training in the specialty “Community Police Officer” at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
For two and a half months 150 human rights defenders from 17 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv had been gaining professional skills and experience under the guidance of experienced University teachers and trainers from partner institutions.
Rector of the DonSUIA police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi congratulated the officers and wished them a successful service in defense of the rights and freedoms of the communities entrusted to them: “Perform your duties professionally and selflessly! Glory to Ukraine!”
The ceremony of presenting certificates of the course completion in the specialty “Community Police Officer ” was attended by the honorary guests of the event: head of the Kirovograd Regional Council Yurii Drozd, director of the department of education and science of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration Elza Leshchenko, deputy head of the unit of defense work and interaction with law enforcement bodies of the Department for Civil Protection of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration Serhii Chernov, head of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovograd Region, police colonel Roman Koziakov, head of the unit of interaction with communities of the department of preventive activities of the National Police of Ukraine, police major Maiia Breslavska.
For the high level of professionalism, competence and significant personal contribution in providing the educational process rector of the DonSUIA police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, director of the Luhansk Educational and Scientific Institute named after E.O. Didorenko of the DonSUIA police colonel Andrii Rybalkin, University lecturers and trainers were recognized by the headmen of the National Police of Ukraine, the department of law enforcement issues of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the mission of the Regional Program of the ICITAP Office in Ukraine.
