Students of theDonSUIA took part in events dedicated to the Day of the Unity of Ukraine and the 105th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Ukrainian People’s Republic.
The act of unification between the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic became a symbol and a legend for future generations of fighters for independent Ukraine.
On the square in front of the Central Ukrainian State University named after V. Vinnichenko, the cadets and students of the DonSUIA, together with the young people and activists of Kropyvnytskyi, unfolded the state flags, the flags of the European Union and the regions of Ukraine and the flag of the Crimean Tatar people.
The administration of the Kirovohrad region and the city of Kropyvnytskyi, the human rights defenders and the military laid flowers at the monument to one of the founders of Ukrainian statehood, the first head of Ukrainian government, the co-author of the historical document, VolodymyrVynnychenko. On behalf of the rector of the DonSUIA, SerhiiVitvitskyi, the dean of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units, AndriyRybalkin joined the event.
The representatives of the HEI also honored the memory of Taras Shevchenko, an outstanding Ukrainian writer, uncompromising fighter for justice, national and spiritual revival of the country. In KryvyiRih, the cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for the units of the National Police of Ukraine of KESIDonSUIA marched with an unfolded 20-meter flag of Ukraine and sang the National Anthem.
The memory of the independence fighters of all years and those who died as a result of Russian aggression was honored with a minute of silence.
