63 higher education seekers from all over Ukraine submitted their creative works to the contest, of which 45 were accepted by the jury for defense.
The head of the organizing committee was the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andrii Vitrenko, the head of the jury was the head of Ukrainian Interuniversity Educational and Scientific Shakespeare Center of the Zaporizhzhia National University Nataliia Torkut.
The representative of the DonSUIA a 1st year cadet of the Faculty of Training Specialists for National Police Units Tymur Vershynin, took part in the contest with the research project “The theme of crimes and punishments in the works of W. Shakespeare.” Tymur was the only representative of the HEI system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who joined the contest and defended the project. In his work, he investigated the essence of the 16th and 17th centuries inherent human vices. He analyzed the development of the state and law using examples of W. Shakespeare’s literary works and the system of crimes and punishments of that time. Tymur Vershynin studied the characteristics of legal processes of Queen Elizabeth I time, the judicial system of England in the XVII-XIX centuries and the depiction of characteristic features of crimes and criminals of those times in the plays of W. Shakespeare.
