Specialists in educating population and population surveys of the Swiss Mine Action Fund FSD Ukraine Anna Kononenko, Yevhenii Pashchenko and Alina Kerekesh told higher education seekers of the faculty of training specialists for the National Police units about the types of explosive objects, the main features of dangerous areas and how to behave in case of an unexpected find.
“Our goal in this difficult time is to give the maximum amount of information to people in order to reduce the number of victims of explosive objects,” the lecturers emphasized.
The cadets listened to the information about the stages of demining; statistics of territory pollution; tactical and technical characteristics of the most common explosive objects; potentially dangerous places; action algorithm of “How to behave if you see a mine”.
Knowledge of mine safety is extremely important in the conditions of war, because it can save lives and preserve health in an unpredictable situation.
