Interaction between security, defense and public bodies in the field of combating criminal offenses was considered by the participants of the II All-Ukrainian round table at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The purpose of the event is to analyze theoretical and applied aspects of the current state of crime under the legal regime of martial law; to form efficient interagency cooperation between law enforcement bodies and the public; and to introduce information and analytical technologies in the fight against criminal offenses.
The conference was opened by the DonSUIA rector Serhii Vitvitskyi: «Last year the round table became a platform for fruitful cooperation, which resulted in more than 16 joint scientific developments with the central departments of the National Police of Ukraine. I hope that the current meeting will contribute to further development of scientific ideas and joint projects aimed at efficient combating criminal offenses».
Roman Koziakov, head of the Main Office of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad Region, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that experience exchange between the Main Office of the National Police and the Security Service of the Kirovohrad Region, the National Guard and other law enforcement bodies will contribute to a more efficient implementation of counter-sabotage measures to prevent crimes under martial law.
The meeting was attended by: representatives of the department of information and analytical support of the National Police of Ukraine; commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for human rights in the Kirovohrad region; the Territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Mykolaiiv; the Security Service of Ukraine; departments of the Bureau of economic security in the Volyn and Vinnytsia regions; the Main departments of the National Police of Ukraine in 10 regions of Ukraine; regional prosecutors’ offices; public organizations; veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Representatives and higher education seekers of the leading higher educational institutions also joined the discussion.
In total, the round table organizing committee received over 110 abstracts from all regions of Ukraine. Representatives of law enforcement bodies, local authorities, scientists, and security experts spoke at the plenary session.
