The scientists presented the participants of a two-day training for police officers a training course on police response to illegal actions related to sources of ionizing radiation.
The training took place on the basis of the National Academy of Internal Affairs within the framework of the international technical assistance project “Improving the state of security and response to sources of ionizing radiation in Ukraine”.
The goal of the project is to train future police officers and increase the level of knowledge of acting police officers regarding timely and effective response to potential radiological threats to the population of Ukraine.
The University representatives familiarized those present with the theoretical part of the course using a binary form of education, role-playing and information and communication technologies.
The next step of the DonSUIA team will be the presentation of its practical component regarding its implementation in the educational process of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions which are administrated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The training was organized by the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
