As part of Payment Security Awareness Week initiated by the National Bank of Ukraine, a series of educational events dedicated to financial security in the digital space were held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Their goal was to increase the level of payment security awareness and protection of financial data on the Internet, to form financial security culture among young people.
During the first class for the Day of Safe Internet, the higher education seekers learned how to prevent cyber threats and fraud in online payments, and also took part in the #CyberChallenge interactive project. This allowed them to test their digital security skills in practice.
“These measures have helped us to better understand how fraud schemes work and how to protect our finance from cyberattacks. Practical cases analyzed together with the teachers were especially useful,” said cadet Victoria Tkachuk.
The class was organized by Olga Haborets and Olga Lungol, assistant professors of the department of operative investigative activity and information security of the DonSUIA.
