Procedures and mechanisms of information exchange between EU member states, agencies in the field of justice and internal affairs (in particular, EUROPOL and CEPOL), interaction with other partners were discussed by the participants of the “Inter-agency law enforcement cooperation and information exchange within the EU” training.
During the event, representatives of the law enforcement bodies of the European Union member states and Ukraine considered the issues of access to EU information systems in the field of law enforcement, the use of the Schengen Information System (SIS), work with the European multidisciplinary platform EMPACT to exchange information on investigations of cross-border crimes, and others.
The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was represented by Olha Lunhol, associate professor of the department of operative investigative activity and information security, and Maryna Horodetska, head of the department of organization of pre-trial investigation. They joined an active discussion on methods of information protection, its exchange and international cooperation.
The organizer of the event was the agency of the European Union CEPOL, whose activities are aimed at the development, implementation and coordination of training law enforcement officers.
