First-year students of the faculty of Law, Management and Economic Security – graduates of the pilot project of the course “Anti-corruption and Integrity” – became laureates of the youth creative competition “Together Against Corruption! Your vision matters!”
The organizers of the competition were: the Scientific Center for Integrity Education and Corruption Prevention of the National Defense University of Ukraine in partnership with representatives of the NATO Integrity Education Program, the Defense Academy of Great Britain, and the Center for Combating Corruption in the Defense Sector (CIDS) of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway.
Students presented their works in the DonSUIA library. During the event Iryna Ozerna, head of the department of legal disciplines and public administration, discussed with the higher education seekers the importance of integrity and its development in the society, ways to build an honest and transparent educational environment, corruption risks in education, the interaction of students with the anti-corruption commissioner, and the influence of youth on the integrity and transparency of the educational environment.
Also, in the University libraries of Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih, thematic book exhibitions “Ukraine without corruption”, “Corruption: its essence and countermeasures”, “Corruption is a social phenomenon” and thematic workshop were held.
Their participants outlined the causes of corruption offenses in Ukraine and in the world, tools for combating domestic corruption, they considered methodological recommendations for the application of some provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On corruption prevention” regarding prevention and settlement of the conflicts of interest, etc.
