Partnership in informational, methodical, research and practical activities was discussed by the rector of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Serhii Vitvitskyi and the head of the public organization “Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine “YurFem” Khrystyna Kit.
The leaders agreed on interaction and coordination in the following areas of activity: organization and holding joint events (educational, scientific, scientific-methodical, informational enlightening,) on issues of gender equality, non-discrimination of women’s rights; provision of advisory assistance; implementation of pilot training programs for students and the staff on issues of gender equality; students’ practice; professional development of the teaching staff; development and writing joint scientific publications; creation of working expert groups.
As a result of signing the memorandum, higher education seekers of the DonSUIA gained access to YurFem resources – library, video courses, courses and webinars devoted to the topics of gender equality, anti-discrimination, gender-based violence, etc.
Implementation of gender equality is one of the main aspects of the DonSUIA structural units’ activity.
Trainings and lectures are planned within the framework of cooperation, the purpose of which is to disseminate knowledge about gender equality, against sexism in the educational environment in particular.
