Olha Gaborets, assistant professor of the department of operational investigative activities and information security, joined the team of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine higher education institutions, who underwent a training within the framework of the OSCE and the Ministry of Internal Affairs project “Intensification of the national partners’ capabilities to strengthen cyber resilience.”
The purpose of the event is to use interactive teaching methods on the correct information handling in the cyber sphere; determination of cyber security measures for a specific situation; organization of secure access to devices and programs; critical assessment of information; safe behavior in the cyber sphere.
On behalf of the training organizers, the OSCE project manager Tetiana Medun and the deputy head of the organization of scientific activities and innovations unit in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department of Education, Science and Sports Maksym Romanov greeted those present and wished them fruitful work.
The participants acquired the following skills: security of mobile devices and use of social networks; detection of harmful software and protection against false reports; responding to incidents related to information security.
Olha Gaborets also participated in the methodological session on certain aspects and specifics of teaching the basics of cyber hygiene.
