In the perinatal center of the Kirovohrad Regional Hospital, a round table was held on the theme “Management of out-of-hospital childbirth. Postpartum bleeding and complications”. The event was attended by specialists of the career guidance department and teachers of the department of special physical and pre-medical training together with cadets and university students.
The speakers of the round table were: head of the perinatal center Tetyana Miteva, obstetrician-gynecologist of the highest category Andriy Volk, intern obstetrician-gynecologist Sofia Baftalovska. They focused attention on the importance of the knowledge and skills of future police officers to make сonsidered decisions when it comes to saving the life of the future mother and her child during childbirth in non-standard situations.
The participants got acquainted with information on how to provide pre-medical assistance to a pregnant woman in a critical situation, what improvised means can be used when providing emergency aid, and practiced the skills of “quick childbirth” on an interactive simulator.
During the event, the representatives of DonSUIA told the participants of the round table about the peculiarities of admission and study at the University and invited them to visit the University on the Open Day.
