365 first-year cadets of the DonSUIA from 22 regions of Ukraine took the Oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine. Among them 285 cadets in the city of Kropyvnytskyi and 80 – in the city of Kryvyi Rih. They chose the path of serving the interests of the society and the state in the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine.
Representatives of the state authorities, the National Police of Ukraine, local self-government bodies, cadets, scientific-pedagogical and administrative staff of the University took part in the celebrations.
Among the guests of honor in Kropyvnytskyi there were people’s deputies of Ukraine Oleksandr Danutsa and Ihor Murdiі, head of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, police colonel Andrii Rubel, head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration Andrii Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad кegional сouncil Yurii Drozd, deputy mayor of the Kropyvnytskyi city council Oleksandr Mosin, head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kirovohrad region, police colonel Roman Koziakov, head of the Kirovohrad region Prosecutor’s Office, senior advisor of Justice Yan Streliuk, head of the Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine, colonel Serhii Kononenko, first deputy head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kirovohrad region, colonel of the Civil Protection Service Oleksii Rodionov, director of the department of education and science of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration Elza Leshchenko, head of the regional service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kirovohrad Region Serhii Pyzhov, rector of the Central Ukrainian State University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko Yevhen Sobol.
In Kryvyi Rih among the guests of honor there were – acting city mayor Yurii Vilkul, deputy head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel Pavlo Barannyk, head of the Kryvyi Rih Department of the Ukrainian Security Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region, colonel Roman Klimovskyi, deputy head of the City defense council, colonel Oleksandr Piskun, head of the Metallurgical district council in the city of Kryvyi Rih Gennadii Shapovalov, head of the Saksahan district council in Kryvyi Rih Vasyl Starovoit, honorary citizen of Kryvyi Rih Yevhen Ryzhkov, acting commander of the military unit 3011 of the National Guard of Ukraine, colonel Mykola Malinskyi, head of the Kryvyi Rih district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk кegion, police colonel Volodymyr Vasyliev, deputy commander of the Patrol Police Regiment in the city of Kryvyi Rih, of the Police Patrol Department in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police lieutenant colonel Ihor Rozhenkov, сhairman of the сouncil of veterans of the 17th Kryvyi Rih separate tank brigade, colonel Valentin Mazur.
On the day of taking the Oath, first year cadets of the 2023 enrollment for the first time in their lives wore special police badges, certifying their belonging to the National Police of Ukraine for the entire period of service.
Those present were greeted by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk and director of the department of education, science and sports Oleksandr Tarasenko.
The rector of the University, Serhii Vitvitskyi, addressed the cadets: “I congratulate first year students of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs on taking the Oath of the National Police! Believe in yourselves, gain knowledge and experience to achieve professional success for the victory of the people of Ukraine!”
A special feature of the celebrations was of the Kryvyi Rih Brigade military band of the National Guard of Ukraine and the representatives of the Zaporizhzhia youth movement “Baida” participation in the events.
For the conscientious performance of official duties, significant personal contribution to the fight against crime, high achievements in protecting the rights and freedoms of the citizens, state sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of Ukraine, the best representatives of the University got awards from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, certificates and diplomas of gratitude from the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration , the Kirovohrad regional council, the Kropyvnytskyi city council, the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region, the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the military unit 3011 of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The participants of the event honored the memory of all those who died during a full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine with a minute of silence.
The ceremony of taking the Oath ended with the performance of the drummers’ ensemble of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the performance of the University Anthem and a ceremonial march.
