Oleksandra Havrylko, head of the communication department of the head office of National Police of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, spoke about the specifics of the police officers’ activity in the front-line territories, the importance of clear distribution of responsibilities in сase of emergency during the liberation of settlements and the implementation of stabilizing measures.
During the meeting with cadets of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activity units of the DonSUIA, 29 of whom will soon join the ranks of the Donetsk region police, Oleksandra Havrylko emphasized the importance of the work of prevention units staffers in organizing and conducting operations for the evacuation of the civilians, the wounded, and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The speaker focused special attention on the activities of the “White Angel” volunteer unit. It consists of police officers who, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in addition to their main activity, have been evacuating people from the frontline cities and bringing humanitarian aid. They also perform the functions of rescuers, medics, and volunteers. Oleksandra Havrylko expressed her belief that the future graduates of the University will join the unit’s activities.
