The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs higher education seekers took part in the UPSHIFT_START workshop conducted by the team of KOMA” youth space. The initiative is implemented by UNICEF Ukraine together with “Slavic Cultural Center “Zadzerkalia” public organization.
The cadets learned about problem-solving methodologies, solution development, teamwork, and project management, and put these skills into practice.
Under the guidance of mentor-trainers who provided advice and support at every stage, they developed and presented their own ideas.
Particular attention was paid to the development of “entrepreneurial” thinking and skills that allow young people not only to identify problems in their communities, but also to actively seek ways to solve them.
The boys and girls also mastered the “5 Whys” and SMART methods, which allow you to find out the root causes of the problem and help make goals specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
Participation of the DonSUIA higher education seekers in the event on the basics of project activity is an important component of professional and personal development, and the UPSHIFT program helps them be drivers of positive change in the community.
