Senior researcher of the research laboratory on public community security of the faculty of Training Specialists for Preventive Activities Units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Artem Kovalenko, at the invitation of the Higher School of Advocacy at the National Bar Association of Ukraine, held a webinar on the topic “3D scanning technologies in criminal justice: What Does a Defense Attorney Need to Know?”
The participants of the event learned about the essence and scope of 3D technologies application in criminal proceedings and beyond, the procedure for using 3D scanners in the course of individual procedural actions, as well as the status of implementing 3D technologies in forensic practice.
The educational material was based on the results of a scientific investigation “Modern technical and forensic means of evidence in criminal proceedings”, which was conducted at the DonSUIA with the financial support of the European Union.
