A meeting with the representatives of the international Tetra Tech company – Mark Winfield, a liaison officer with the National Police of Ukraine, and Olga Ilchenko, a technical translator was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. The company carries out a humanitarian mission in Ukraine, providing assistance in demining territories.
On behalf of the DonSUIA rector, Serhii Vitvitskyi, the guests were welcomed by acting first vice-rector, Hanna Buha. She emphasized that the University cooperation with Tetra Tech will contribute to the professional training of its higher education seekers and help save the lives of thousands of people. The University vice-rector Olena Volobuieva, head of the international cooperation unit Victoria Moskalenko and head of tactical and special training department Oleksandr Kolomoiets joined the dialogue.
Those present discussed the possibilities of further cooperation for the development of educational programs, cadets’ and teachers’ acquiring practical knowledge about modern methods of identification and disposal of explosive objects, as well as familiarization with the best global practices and technologies in the field of public security.
To improve practical training of law enforcement officers, the parties agreed to hold comprehensive and systematic trainings.
