The sophomores of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units met with representatives of the mobile brigade of social and psychological assistance to victims of domestic and gender-based violence 45.1.in Kropyvnytskyi as part of the “Recognition and prevention of domestic violence” training.
Mobile brigade psychologist Nataliya Tsumareva revealed the signs of physical, psychological, sexual, economic and gender-based violence. The students learned to recognize its manifestations in society, discussed the negative psychological consequences, and also shared their own observations and attitudes to the manifestations of such types of violence.
Social worker Tamara Kobets provided the cadets with step-by-step instructions for actions in case of detecting domestic violence, spoke about the cooperation of various institutions in responce to such cases. The specialist told about the functional capabilities of the mobile brigade in providing psychological and social assistance, redirecting victims to the organizations which can provide them with free medical and legal assistance.
As part of the training, the students were presented with “dignity backpacks” and winter sets from UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund).
The meeting was organized by Olena Mamonova, associate professor of the department of social and humanitarian disciplines.
