The event brought together psychologists, polygraph experts and lawyers from all over Ukraine.
The All-Ukrainian scientific and-practical conference was opened and on behalf of the rector of the DonSUIA Serhii Vitvitskyi, the participants were greeted by the director of the Luhansk Educational and Scientific Institute named after E.O. Didorenka Andrii Rybalkin. He emphasized the importance of combining practical experience of polygraph experts and theoretical knowledge of scientists in matters of further introduction of the polygraph in law enforcement activities.
The head of the NGO “International Association of Polygraph Examiners” and the co-organizer of the conference Maksym Klymenko also made a welcome speech. After the introduction, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The participants of the event discussed the legal grounds for using the polygraph in Ukraine, the specifics of conducting a psychophysiological study using the polygraph with persons suspected of collaborative activity. Algorithms for conducting a psychophysiological interview, questions used during polygraph testing and features of their application were considered. Methods of detection and prevention of counteractions by persons undergoing polygraph examinations, features of the polygraph examiner’s work in field conditions, etc., were outlined.
At the end of the conference, all participants received certificates.
