Higher education seekers of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Oleksandra Protsenko, Anna Nazim, Yuliia Shcheholievatykh and Vladyslav Hlushchenko took part in the Autumn School aimed at increasing competence in the field of combating human trafficking.
The training was part of a joint project between the OSCE, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine. It was intended to improve the investigation of crimes related to human trafficking. Particular emphasis was made on the use of cybernetic technologies and psychological interaction.
The participants were introduced to the best practices, interdepartmental cooperation and the approaches aimed at affected persons.
The cadets completed the quest for the disclosure and counteraction to human trafficking, mastered the tactics of conducting a search, interviewing minors and obtaining lost information due to computer technologies, completed the task of filing cases.
Also the higher education seekers filmed a social video on “Combating human trafficking: involvement in begging.”
Finally the DonSUIA cadets received certificates confirming their successful mastering of the course.
