Higher education seekers of the faculty of training specialists for units of preventive activities got acquainted with the tactics of providing pre-medical care in combat conditions.
A senior combat medic of the mortar battery of the 121st separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Territorial Defense Ruslan Brodskyi (pseudonym “Bro”) told them about the realities of service.
The military noted that the medics of the platoon are a full-fledged combat unit which is constantly at the front line , standing in for duty, fighting and participating in offensive operations. They adopt NATO practices, undergo training according to the TCCC — Tactical Combat Casualty Care standard.
The cadets learned about the content of a medic’s shoulder bag, checking for critical bleeding, methods of moving the wounded, etc.
“Bro” answered the questions and emphasized that today police officers are among the first to arrive at the scene of events, and it is their knowledge and skills that the preservation of life and health of citizens often depend on.
The event was held within the frame of the discipline “Algorithm of the patrol police actions in different situations of service activity” for higher education seekers to obtain practical skills.
