In order to facilitate the adaptation period of studying at the institution with specific learning conditions and to develop effective communication skills a training course “Speech Tactics: How to Prevent Conflicts” was held for first-year students of the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the DonSUIA
The event was organized on the initiative of the Mariupol Center for Initial Professional Training “Police Academy” of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs together with the Patrol Police Unit in the Kirovohrad Region of the Patrol Police Department.
The speakers of the event were: Head of the DonSUIA Department of Extreme and Crisis Psychology, crisis psychologist Andrii Fomenko, and Senior Psychologist of the Human Resources Department of UPP in the Kirovohrad Region, of PPD Alla Postevka.
During the class, high school students practiced algorithms for responding to manifestations of aggression and anxiety, participated in team exercises aimed at developing empathy, and also discussed the importance of respecting personal boundaries in the process of communication.
The knowledge and practical skills gained will help to unite the team and increase the psychological resilience of the lyceum students.
