Artem Kovalenko, senior researcher at the Public Security Research Laboratory of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activities units, took part in the VIII Kharkiv International Legal Forum, which is traditionally held by the National Law University named after Yaroslav the Wise.
Within the discussion panel “Investigation of aggression crimes, war crimes and crimes against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine: actual problems and ways of their effective solution,” the scientist revealed the prospects of using video spectral analyzers while reviewing documents in criminal proceedings. In his opinion, given the compactness, portability and ease of use of individual analyzers models, such devices can be effectively used for in-depth study of documents in the field conditions.
The video spectral HS9P analyzer, purchased by the DonSUIA with the financial support of the European Union, is successfully used in the educational process during practical classes in “Forensic Documentation”.
Within the framework of the project “Support for the displaced Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs,” the University continues to carry out a scientific research “Modern technical and forensic means of proof in criminal proceedings” assisted by the European Union.
