On September 25, 2024, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was held.
At the beginning of the meeting, acknowledgments from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “For conscientious attitude to the performance of official duties, initiative and persistence” were announced: to Tetiana Platonova, senior inspector of the personnel support department, Artur Voloboiev, head of the department of operational-search activities and information security of faculty № 3, Natalia Nabokova, cadet of faculty № 3.
The first issue to consider at the meeting of the Academic Council was “On the analysis of efficiency of career guidance activity carried out by the University units for the 2023/2024 academic year was considered. Head of career guidance department Halyna Izotova reported “On updating the concept of career guidance activity of the University units in the 2024/2025 academic year”
The members of the Academic Council listened to the report of the deans of faculties № 1-3 of the DonSUIA and faculty № 1 of the KESI DonSUIA on the results of the practice (internship) of higher education seekers who study under state order, and measures for their further improvement as well as about the abolition of the Academic Councils of faculties № 1-4 of the DonSUIA and faculty № 2 of the KESI DonSUIA.
Also the meeting of the Academic Council considered the issues on admission to doctoral studies and the transfer of doctoral students ; on the activities of post graduate studies, adjunct and doctoral studies of the DonSUIA in the 2023-2024 academic year; on the results of training higher education seekers of the DonSUIA in the 2023-2024 academic year; on the results of the DonSUIA higher education seekers certification in 2024.
The Members of the Academic Council discussed: awarding academic titles to scientific and pedagogical staffers of the University; approving candidates from among the permanent staff of the University to be awarded with the badge “For a significant contribution to the development of the University” and rewarding them with a valuable gift; cancelling research work plans of the departments and research laboratories of the KESI DonSUIA and LESI named after E.O. Didorenko DonSUIA for 2024 and approving the standard form of the contract for the implementation of research work on contractual terms at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
At the meeting of the Academic Council, they considered and approved a number of changes to the Regulations of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and approved “Programs for the admission of a comprehensive certification exam in academic disciplines”, Actual problems of the application of criminal legislation”, “Actual problems of protection and observance of human rights in the activities of law enforcement bodies”, “Actual problems of criminal procedure and operational-search activity,”, “Actual problems of police activity” for 2-year higher education seekers of full-time/part-time forms of education (field of knowledge 26 “Civil Security,” specialty 262 “Law Enforcement”, “Master” educational degree) in the 2024-2025 academic year”; “Programs of a comprehensive certification exam in the form of a unified state qualification exam in specialty 081” Law “of the second (master’s) higher education level for higher education seekers of faculty № 2 of the KESI DonSUIA in the 2024-2025 academic year.”
Besides that the following issues were discussed: introducing changes to the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal “Bulletin on the exchange of work experience” as well as to the scientific journal “Bulletin of the Lugansk Educational and Scientific Institute named after E.O. Didorenko” of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; on the involving teacher Anna Krynychna in delivering lectures on the disciplines “Physical Education” and “Theory and Methodology of Sports Games”; on changing the theme of the dissertation research of the 4th year post graduate student of the correspondence form of study Oleksandr Valuiskyi, who is qualifying for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 081 “Law”; and also on the formation of a one-time specialized Academic Council.
In conclusion members of the Academic Council recommended monographs, scientific journals, educational and methodological manuals for publication, as well as scientific and practical recommendations, a phrasebook in a foreign language, the authors of which are scientific and pedagogical University staffers.
