An exhibition “Mariupol. 86 # live” is organized at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs with the assistance of the center “Me Mariupol”. The staffers and higher education seekers got acquainted with the exhibits that cover tragic events of the 86-day siege of Mariupol and show the city before and after the full-scale invasion.
The event takes place on the eve of the City of Mariupol Day and in memory of all the fallen Defenders, civilians who gave their lives defending Mariupol.
The main idea of the event is to convey the hope for a peaceful life.
The photos demonstrate the scale of the tragedy and the heroism of the defenders of Mariupol. They are a reminder of the importance of fighting for those defenders of the city who are still in captivity.
The presented photos were collected by the Mariupol City Council – they were sent or taken out of the occupied territory despite the danger.
Exhibition “Mariupol. 86 # live” consists of four sections: “Azovstal”, “Children”, “City”, “Defenders”. Also during the event, correspondence fragments of Mariupol residents – eyewitnesses of the blockade were presented.
